Nurse Practitioners

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners are educated to master level and have advanced physical assessment and disease management skills.

CLAIRE PATCHETT

MSc, BSc, DipHE

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner is educated at Masters level in clinical practice and has been assessed as competent in practice to use her expert clinical knowledge and skill. Claire can make autonomous decisions to assess, diagnose and treat both adults and children including prescribing, ordering investigations and referring to secondary care where needed. Claire can also undertake appropriate home visits and sign fit notes.

SUNU SHIBU

Dip HE, BSc, MSc

Our Nurse Practitioner is educated at Masters Level specialising in respiratory medicine. Sunu can also assess. diagnose, ad treat adults and the older child, including prescribing, ordering investigations and referring to secondary care where needed. Sunu is also able to sign Fit Notes.

Nurses

Working in close liaison with the doctors the nurses are available for immunisations, smoking advice, cervical smears, they will be able to offer health promotion advice on diet, exercise, healthy living, family planning etc. Appointments for nurses can be made in advance via reception or by telephoning 245069.

ALISON BRADLEY

Alison is our specialist Diabetic Nurse; she will be able to offer you guidance and advice in controlling your Diabetes.

CAROL PERRIN

RGN

Our nurses provide all general medical health checks for CVD or AF/HF, New patient medicals. Carol speciality area is Respiratory Medicine providing healthcheck reviews for patients with Asthma and COPD. Carol also provide all general nursing care such as immunisation, cervical screening and Health Promotion.

Healthcare Assistants

The Healthcare Assistants are trained phlebotomists which enables them to assist our Nurse with routine blood tests. They are also trained to check blood pressures; Perform ECGs and will check height and weight.

Reception/Admin

Our reception staff will try and help you with your queries, repeat prescriptions and appointments as efficiently as possible. They are trained to do a difficult and demanding job. Please help them to help you.

Community Midwives

Our midwife provides care for all of our expectant mums during their pregnancy and in the first 10 days of the baby's life.

Community Nurses

We have a team of district nurses attached to our practice who provide nursing care to the housebound, chronically or terminally ill.

Counsellors

Access to our counsellor is via a doctor’s referral.

Health Visitors

Our Practice Nurses - Our health visitors predominantly work with families who have children under 5, offering advice and support.
